The Institute promotes debate on global health issues
In 2005, we established the HLSP Institute. The Institute aims to inform debate and policy on global health issues and national health systems in order to reduce inequalities in health.




Building on HLSP experience and expertise in health policy and systems, the Institute provides policy analysis, training, and applied research on issues relevant to better development practice, attainment of the Millennium Development Goals and reduction of inequalities in health. It does this through improving the evidence base for policy, developing innovative training and technical resources, helping identify solutions and contributing to debate.

The HLSP Institute has taken over the work in these areas by the Institute for Health Sector Development (IHSD) which merged with HLSP in 2005.

Through the HLSP Institute we produce cutting edge publications and knowledge products, and provide training and learning to clients both in the UK and worldwide.
