Chinese-English Translator, China-Australia Health and HIV/AIDS Facility

HLSP, (the Health Unit of Mott MacDonald) working in association with the Burnet Institute, managing contractor the AusAID China-Australia Health and HIV/AIDS Facility (CAHHF), is seeking expressions of interest in the position of Chinese-English Translator. This position will be based in Beijing.

CAHHF is a joint China-Australia development cooperation initiative that aims to develop the capacity of China’s health system, ability to respond to emerging infections and control HIV infection.

Major responsibility:
  • Assist short-term international consultants in communication with Chinese counterparts;
  • Translation of relevant documents and reports;
  • Interpretation for trainings/workshops/field visits;
  • And other temporary tasks if necessary.
Position requirements:

  • - Bachelor’s degree or above, fluent in English speaking and writing (English Major would be preferred);
  • - At least 2-year experience on health related translation;
  • - Computer skills, be able to use Office software, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, etc.
  • - Good team work;
  • - Be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, or even overtime.
  • - Good communication skills, and devotion to public health.
