Frequently Asked Questions

What does HLSP stand for?

When HLSP was originally set up it stood for Health and Life Sciences Partnership, however we no longer use the original full name and, instead, we simply use HLSP.

Does HLSP supply grants?

HLSP is a professional services firm and does not supply grants.

How can I find out more about working with HLSP?
  • To get involved with consultancy work or apply for a staff position please visit our 'Working with us' page for more details and current vacancies.
  • To find out more about employing HLSP's services, please get in touch with our head office or email us at enquiries@hlsp.org.
What is HLSP's policy on internships/entry level positions?

Unfortunately we do not offer internships as we have a large network of mainly senior consultants who we call upon for various projects. We recognise that this is a competitive field to break into without specific experience and gaining that experience can be difficult. To pursue your aim of a career in this sector we would recommend that you "break in" by working with organisations of good standing that would give you a grounding in international health. We also advise that you ensure that any position you may take overseas is with a reputable organisation with adequate in-country support and sources of help if things should get difficult.
